Please post your daily food log and point total for Wednesday, May 13th, 2014 to the comments section below.
This week’s theme is eating right.
Your daily bonus challenge is to look at your own health history and your family’s health history. If there are any autoimmune conditions, such as Asthma, Chron’s disease, Celiac disease, Ulcerative Colitis, IBD, IBS, Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, Interstitial cystitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Psoriasis, Scleroderma or simple food allergies (some even say depression is auto-immune), then try cutting out nightshades, nuts and eggs for the coming week to see if you feel better. You may also be sensitive to food additives such as guar gum and carrageenan, as well as alcohol and fructose, so you would want to keep the fructos to 25 grams or less per day (mostly berries). For more on this check out Robb Wolf’s page that has sample meal plans, including auto-immune paleo meal plans. Here and here are other great resources on the subject.
