Some of you might remember working out with Meagan M. at our old location.  As many of you know, Alex Petric, Meagan’s partner, suffered a tragic diving accident while on vacation together.  CrossFit 204 is hosting a Fundraising event on May 4th to help raise money for Alex’s recovery.

Here’s a write up on the event from Mike at CrossFit 204, if you would like to help out fellow CrossFitters, check out the rest of the details HERE.

As local rehab options aren’t ideal, Alex will be going to Project Walk in California to fight to regain the use of his lower body. We’re going to back him up by working out and raising some funds on May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at CrossFit 204, 483 Berry St.

The gym will be open at 12:30, and starting right at 1 p.m., we will be running the following workout every 15 minutes: As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of 50 squats, 30 push-ups, 15 pull-ups or ring rows. We’ve selected the workout to allow participation by as many people as possible. Familiarity with the movements is required, but people of all fitness levels can participate. Participants must be over 18. This event is open to members of the larger CrossFit community; you do not have to be a member of CrossFit 204 to participate.

We’re asking for a minimum donation of $20 per participant, with many thanks. There is no overhead; all donated funds go directly to Alex.

All you have to do is show up, sign our waiver if you are not a 204 member, warm up and wait for the next heat to start. We’ll get you going as soon as we can.

And when the workout gets tough, remember that Alex isn’t giving up.
