This week we also start the new class schedule changes related to the Open Competition. In particular, you will notice that we have added Open Gym on the weekend, starting on Saturday the 25th. Please note that this not a free for all, but rather an opportunity for you to work on skills, your “goats” or make up missed workouts with the guidance of a coach. Please consult with the coach upon your arrival and let them know what you plan on doing and ask for recommendations on what to do based on your strengths, weaknesses and training schedule. We will be posting your options for Open gym.
Monday: full body strength & conditioning
Tuesday: upper body pushing & lower body pulling
Wednesday: conditioning/ energy system training
Thursday: CrossFit Games Open Event #1
Friday: Full Dolby strength & conditioning
Sunday: lower body pushing & upper body pulling
Beast Competitors suggested training schedule as follows, but monitor performance and energy levels and take extra rest as needed. More is not necessarily better.
Saturday Competitors: Monday Rest, Tuesday Regular Class, Wednesday Regular Class, Thursday come in and do a modified version of the workout you will be doing on Saturday for the Open, Friday Rest or come to the new Mobility class at 5:30, Saturday Compete, Sunday regular class, also if wanting to ramp up training, plan on doing a double on Saturday or Sunday, by doing Saturdays workout and working on the Skill of the week.
Thursday Competitors: Monday Rest, Tuesday Regular Class, Wednesday Rest or go to Mobility Class at 6:30, Thursday evening compete, Friday Rest or do Mobility Class, Saturday regular class, Sunday regular Class, also if wanting to ramp up training, plan on doing a double on Saturday or Sunday, by making up Wednesday’s missed workout and working on the Skill of the week. If you want to get an additional training session in, I recommend Friday or coming in for a double on Saturday, but see how you feel by the time Sunday rolls around.
